Project One - WalMart SAP CoE Design

Business Challenge: Design WalMart’s SAP Center of Excellence (CoE) long-term organizational change management strategy (e.g., organizational design, recruiting, onboarding, knowledge transfer and training strategies) and short-term tactical plan.

Results: Delivered the organizational change management strategy 2.5 months ahead of schedule, thereby accelerated the implementation of the short-term tactical plan for launching the organization by September 2009. Earned ”Trusted Advisor” recognition through written client feedback.

Project Two - GM Global SAP Readiness Assessment

Business Challenge: Design and perform a global Organizational Readiness and Stakeholder Assessment for a multi-phase, multi-year global SAP implementation, the largest implementation of its kind ever undertaken by GM, and recommend risk mitigation strategies.

Results: While working with deployment leads and regional stakeholders, identified and reduced project implementation risks and increased individual and organizational readiness for this major transformation initiative.

Project Three - ValeInco IT Restructuring & Outsourcing

Business Challenge: Design a comprehensive multi-phase, global IT outsourcing change management program, which includes an organizational readiness assessment, case and vision development, stakeholder analysis, leadership mobilization, workforce transition strategy design and communication planning.

Results: Due to the successful strategic realignment of the IT organization and its 85 employees, the application sourcing related activities had minimal impact on the previously stretched IT resources, which was an important goal. Earned “Trusted Advisor” recognition through written client feedback.

The change management approach and results are captured as a case study, entitled "IT Restructuring and Outsourcing". and published by Prosci during the 2010 Global Conference: Best Practices in Change Management.

Project Four - Census Reengineering Strategy Design

Business Challenge: Analyze recommendations and lessons learned from Census 2000. Identify gaps in the Census Bureau’s 2010 strategic plan and recommend solutions to streamline and reengineer the Bureau’s master address file operations and associated maps to increase cost-efficiency and data accuracy.

Results: Findings and recommendations contributed GAO-06-456T March 1, 2006 Congressional testimony and GAO-06/272 June 2006 final report: “2010 Census-Planning and Testing Activities are Making Progress"

Project Five - CEU Process Improvement Design

Business Challenge: Assess organizational readiness of the Central European University (CEU) for accreditation. Design and coordinate institutional self-evaluation process, including 4 administrative staff retreats, to prepare the organization meeting pre-accreditation requirements. Develop and implement new administrative policies and practices to meet the accreditation criteria.

Result: The University achieved candidacy for accreditation granted by the Middle States Accreditation Agency.

Project Six - PVS Pilot Program Design & Implementation

Business Challenge: Design and manage Project Vote Smart's (PVS) Young Voters Pilot Program providing non-partisan information to young voters on candidates running for public office, thereby increase young voters participation in the election process.

Results: Through a strategic "community outreach plan", reached out to 10,000 young voters. Voter turnout was 4.4 times higher than in the May 2002 primary election and 1.2 times higher than in previous off-presidential year statewide general election (1998).
